The Young Peace-builders for Climate Action (YPCA) is the second accelerator program funded by the ASEAN Peace Project as a grantee of the YSEALI Seeds of the Future Program.
It aims to strengthen the role of young people in promoting sustainable environmental development in peace-building and governance processes, enhance awareness and develop the potentials of young peace advocates as future leaders in community-based disaster risk reduction and management, climate change adaptation, and conflict prevention.

The problem of climate change and disaster risk reduction management is a problem of communication: many of the aspects regarding climate change is currently being challenged by differing and oftentimes controversial proclamations on both ends of the spectrum. On the other hand, disaster risk reduction management is a key framework that could help save lives and prevent damage to infrastructure, only if it is more emphasized in community-building.
With these concepts, the identity and subsequent branding of the YPCA program is formed around the process of communication and its signifiers. Stylized shape versions of the letters are combined to form into the logo mark.
The resulting logo mark and lockup configurations are both simple in concept, but loaded with significance and meaning.
In addition to the logo mark lockups, here are various proposals for the branding. Note that some of these didn't make it to production.
